DescriptionThe truck is a 2006 Sterling Acterra with an MBE 900, an Allison 6 speed and a Bentz 96" sleeper. It has a HUG brand DPF system so it's California legal. The engine has an OPS oil bypass filtration system, Mobil Delvac since new, I ran only Mercedes Benz filters and OEM parts.
The carrier APU starts right up and is a great workhorse, new within the last year on it has been alternator, starter, water pump, all belts, oil pan & valve cover gaskets, oil pressure sensor, coolant temp sensor and new battery cables going to the house batteries. PM's were performed every 500 hours.
The 96" Bentz sleeper has a single bunk, aftermarket Fridge/freezer. Sharp Carousel convection microwave oven. All the sleeper lights are newer LED lights. The sleeper comes with a Bentz surround sound system, 2 flat panel TV's, a Blue Ray player, and a Weingartz satellite dish, all you need is a receiver to make the system work. It has an Atwood roof mount AC unit with remote, the Fantastic fan with rain sensor has a remote and has a fantastic fan cover to allow it to stay open while it's raining. The Webasto heater was rebuilt in January of 2019. The cab and sleeper curtains are newer blackout curtains, and the bench cushions and fabric are only a few years old. The D&P seats are Legacy Silver grey leather seats with dual armrests that were well taken care of and very comfortable. Included is a Cobra CB. There is a 4 camera system from Falcon Eye installed as well as Minimizer brand all weather molded floor mats. The truck was a NON SMOKING truck.
All tires are Michelins. The steer tires are at about 60%, the drive axle super singles are about 45%, the lift axle duals are about 50%. The steer axle brakes are at 99%, the lift axle brakes are at about 45%, the Drive axle brakes are at about 60%.
The truck has a Leyman lift gate with remote, and the big all aluminum platform.
The truck also has AutoChains and EverBlades heated wipers blades for winter safety.
All the exterior lights on the truck are LED including the DOT compliant headlights and driving lights. The rear has a total of 8 tail lamps for extra safety, 4 18" lights on the box uprights and 4 ovals on the lower part of the ICC bar.
About a month before we parked it April 2019, the following work was performed. Steer axle S-cams, bushings, shoes, wheel seals, hub gaskets and bearings. Replaced air drier filter, replaced battery cables from Apu to battery box, replaced torque arm on drive axle, replaced relay air valve on lift axle. The rear end fluid was also changed with new synthetic oil. The DPF filter was also freshly baked at W.W. Williams in Tucson along with replacing the injector & injector pump on #5 cylinder.
Turbo, intercooler & EGR valve and cooler were all replaced in 2018.
W.W. Williams told us that the engine has Blow-by, we drove the truck home to MI from AZ with no issues. We parked the truck as our new truck was ready.
There is slight damage to the top of the driver's side door, but it doesn't affect the operation. A used door, ready for paint will be included in the sale.
There is about $1500 of extra parts that could come with the truck including a Hunter Fan Clutch, 5 OPS filters with the testing kits, an extra Signal Stat turn signal, enough engine oil and fuel filters for a few changes, service air brake valve, a brake manifold valve, U-Joint, carrier bearing, Donaldson Blue air filter, engine belts, filters and belts for the APU.
The truck was signed on with Landstar for 5 years and it never failed a 120 day DOT inspection. We can provide all the maintenance records upon request.
We are asking $18k obo for the truck which we feel is a reasonable price considering all the work that was performed rescently and the extra parts it comes with.
The approximate milage is about 1.46 million. It is a great truck that has served is well, it still has lots of potential, but it was just time for us to upgrade trucks. I hate to see it sitting when it could be out on the road making someone money.
The truck is currently located in Lake City, MI.
